Working on my Stuff...

Yes, I am a terrible blogger as of late ( the past year or so to be exact)... LOL

I'm struggling to find the balance between two jobs, an aging parent( I'm the only one who lives in town),  a boyfriend, friends, dogs and the house...  Oh, and the constant struggle with money...

Going to the gym is non-existent now, but my body is craving the stress relief. I do walk the dogs almost every single day still! I try to include my mother in dog walking, as I get to spend time with her, while doing something productive. It's got its challenges being the only one around on a daily basis for an aging parent.  ( My siblings are good to help doing things, but they live away and have preteen children).

I work very little at my pt job. I don't want to work Saturday or Sunday, as it the time when LG is off work. I will work Saturdays in the winter, as LG likes to snowmobile, me not so much... My boss struggles to understand my work schedule ( 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off...). I also find it a challenge now to work more than 8 hours on my feet... The joys of getting older.

My FT job, it is what it is... I have 12 years, 6 months til retirement. Who knows, I may do something wild and crazy and leave some day...

LG is great, I have no issues with our relationship. :)

Spending time with old friends, is something that I an definitely struggling with.  There doesn't seems to be enough time in the day to see everyone and to get everything done....  I know that these relationships are at an impasse right now, and I'm open to any thoughts ideas, etc. I'm a shift worker, so I'm always at odds  time wise with my frineds with 9-5 jobs.

My house is a disaster... Messy, disorganized, and in need of some tlc...  Which at this point in time I cannot find the funds for... I need a roof most of all, and I may have to look at borrowing the money when I remortgage, to do the roof... Which I really don;t want to do, and maybe I need a minor miracle to come into so cash to pay for a new roof...

I'm a constant learner when it comes to managing my money...  I still struggle, and i can;t see to get a grip on it... Yes, I know that I over spend... I just need to figure out where to cut. I thought that i would find it easier whe i quit smoking, but somehow it's worse... But hey, my lungs are clean.. :)

Gotta go, my cleaning list is calling me. Miss you all!

Sam

Hi Sam: things don't get any easier when you retire either. I seem busier now than ever lol! Managing relationships with friends is always hard - can you meet people for an early breakfast? I like breakfast meetups because then the rest of the day is free. Don't be a stranger!
That's a lot of stuff to have to balance! We miss you too, Sam, but thanks for letting us know you're okay and all is more or less well with you xx
