Bangs head against the wall...

So, today I went to see my family Dr about my crazy pain. I knew it was happening during my cycle... If the same thing happens every 27 days or so and you're a woman, it makes sense. and I figured that one out all on my own...  Long story short, she offered me pain meds ( no thank you, I'll keep doing what I'm doing) or hormone replacements. Ah, no thank you, it's just going to mask the issue...

Then I ask about my back... Because when I have the pain, I'm throwing  my back out of alignment.  I asked to be sent for an xray or MRI... No deal... why? because it's an old injury... Over 7 years... I've never had a back xray, I told her, the Dr was more concerned about my neck, even after I told him it was my ass that hurt, not my neck that day...

She wants me to go for a deep tissue massage, which I'll do. But really, could you not send me for a MRI to make sure that there is nothing else wrong with me? Just saying..

That's my rank for the day. Thanks for reading, and I feel better getting this off my chest.  PS, I ended up spending 94.00 on the dog yesterday ( pain meds and nails/butt drain), plus my hair product was in, 22.00 for a bottle that will last me for a long time).

I would be switching doctors if they are not listening to you. It is your body.

Sounds like it might be time for a 2nd opinion... Sorry you are so frustrated.

I went to my family doc after a few years of avoiding it. I'm the type that only likes to go when something is wrong............ I went Monday afternoon and by Tuesday noon I'd already been called for an ultrasound for Wednesday. I'm very impressed with my doc so far...

I hear your pain, literally! I went to my doctor on Monday about my back pain, told her what I was already doing and she basically said "keep doing it". Gee thanks...and you get paid how much?? So I pushed for an acupuncture referral which she did. It's like I have to tell her what do do! Sigh...You've been dealing with pain too long Sam - is there a different doctor you can see?
