Ringing in a New Year...
My goals are simple this month:
No CC for the month, gym x 16 and 125 for groceries for the month...
The 125 for groceries may be a bit hard as my DD will be here tomorrow for a few days! I haven't seen her since the summer, so I'm pretty excited! My supervisor let me take tomrrow off as a vacation day, so I'm all set for a few days off!
I'm going to cook the turkey tomorrow, and invite some people for supper... I'll need to buy some potatoes and carrots perhaps, and I'll bake something for dessert. I may buy a bottle or two of wine also. We're going to have a snow storm on Sunday, so we'll hang tight that day, and indulge in hot chocolate, popcorn, movies and lots of shoveling. I think that we'll have turkey soup that day, along with some rolls or biscuits. I still have some bacon in the fridge, so we can have Club sandwiches on Saturday or hot turkey sandwiches with homemade fries... Yummy!
I'll head out to the gym tomorrow morning, to start the year out right. Today, I'll be content with walking the dogs, and decluttering a room. I'll be making a small grocery list, milk, cream, fruit, etc and sticking to it.
I'm also going to list out what I'll need clothing wise this year and budget 600 for the year. This will include sneakers/ foot wear, underwear and clothes. I'm also going to make my wish list for my house, new roof, insulate the basement and a few other things... I have a picture of my dream stove tucked away that i need to display... A new kitchen in on my wish list! With three feet of usable counter space for cutting and prepping, I'd love to have some more counter space... and it's possible to achieve, I just need the cash, or to win a kitchen makeover!
I started a 52 week challenge for saving money for next Christmas and so far I've tucked away 15.00. I'd like to have another 85.00 tucked away by the end of the month.
Here's to being open to new ideas, new people and new places in 2015...
