Not failing, but rather building myself...

For the past year and a half, I've wanted to join a crossfit type of gym, but was way too scared to cross the doors... I'd say it was fear of the unknown, fear of looking like a fool, and just plain old scared.

I have been following the group on facebook, however, as I like to see how people are doing and reading comments. Last week, the owner offered a special for people like me, too scare to cross the door without having some type of clue what was going to happen. He offered a 4 hour course, including a fat/lean muscle scan and introduction to the machines and exercises...

I was almost in a frenzy yesterday, getting the courage up to cross those doors. But I did it... and I even went back for round two today.  ( Mind you, it  hurts to sit on the toilet right now and going down stairs? AUGHHHH, pain, but a good pain).  Tomorrow morning, I'll go back for a full class. 45 minutes of circuit training... I'll pay 150 for 4 months and I can go 7 days a week ( I'm planning on 4). I figure that will be enough, considering I still need to walk the dog every day...

I'll post my weight and body fat when I get it. At the end of April I'll post how I did...

I'm going to add that I had no plans on spending the money on my health this month, but some times, you need to do something for just you, and I did say that this year was ALL about ME...

PS It finally warmed up, and I squeezed in a 50 minute walk with my mom and the dog...

Good for you! I am so excited to read about your progress. While I know several people who do Crossfit, they were in good shape before they started and are in better shape now. It will be interesting (and motivating) to read about your progress.

Sam,
I'm glad you crossed through the doors. I've always wondered about these classes so I'll be excited to hear what you feel about these classes in a month or so.
They just started to offer them here but I haven't checked them out yet.
