another snowy day...
It's still snowing... we did have a lull during the night for a few hours, ( one of the joys of working nights, being up at 3:00 and looking around at amazement at the beautiful, snowy scenery).
When I got home this morning, the driveway was not plowed, so I parked close by and went off for a few hours of sleep. I got up, showered and went to get the dog from my mothers, where I had a visit with my family, a lovely cuppa tea and some cookies.
I brought the dog home, and we ventured off for our daily walk ( 19/21 so far this month), while I was debating in my head over what to do with the small pork tenderloin I had taken out for supper. I decided to mix sweet thai chili sauce, lemon juice, honey and white balsamic vinegar into a sauce, and chopped the tenderloin into chunks. I added red peppers and fresh pineapple to the mix and threw it in a dish to bake. Add some rice and stock in another dish, and supper is now in the oven...
I'm going to do a bit of house work, and spend the rest of the night sitting on the couch, reading and with the fireplace on. I may even have a glass of wine...
