Today's spending 13.50 st the farmers market

Fresh peas, yellow beans, new red potatoes, fresh eggs and a taste of Korean food. Yummy.
Tomorrow I'm making Hodge Podge for supper.

Here's the recipe:
Hodge Podge_
1 lb new potatoes
1/2 lb new carrots
1/2 lb yellow beans
1/2 lb green beans
1 lb new peas
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup cereal cream ( 10% milk fat)

Scrub new potoates, leave small ones whole but halve or quarter larger ones. Scrub new carrots and cut in 2 inch pieces. Wash beans, remove tips and break into 2 inch peices. Shell peas. Steam veggies until tender crisp. If steaming together, start with potatoes and carrots. Add beans after 5 minutes of cooking. Drain veggies wel, place in a sacue pan: add salt, pepper and cream. Heat but DO NOT BOIL. Serve right away. Makes 4 servings.

I'll have the recipe and use 1% milk with a bit of butter added in.

This is a taste of summer to me!

I work tonight, so I wasn't very ambitious today. I washed 1 load of laundry and hung it out to dry, it's now folded and ready to be put away. I did take the dog for a long walk this morning and even ventured down a road I've never been! He stayed outside most of the morning and was busy chasing bugs, chewing on rawhide and sleeping. I think the walk did him in!

I'm working tonight, so I must eat before I go ( and get cleaned up of course!)
