Money made tonight...

99.51 was what I made in tips tonight! Yahoo. I'm going to put this money towards car registration and inspection ( 78.00 plus 25.00). Plus I need to get a hair cut next week ( 50.00), and a trip to the dentist is in order for August ( 75.00 but I'll get 80% back).

I'm off to bed now, morning comes early, and the dog will go for a big walk again tomorrow!

Wow, that's a amazing amount of money in just tips.
Too bad that there is always so many places to have to spend it.
I think you must be very good at your job to make that much in tips!

I ended up spending 26.40 today at the grocery store on 1 bag of chips, a rotisserie chicken, a lemon pie and a magazine.

I'd rate my self above average, but we have a couple of women who are amazing! These two ladies average between 150- 250/ shift and they work 5 days a week. If they work 46 weeks a year, average tips in one year would be 34,500 based on an average of 5 days @ 150.00. Add their wages and they would make 15,640/year. So if your really good at your job, I'm guessing that if you worked in a high end restaurant you could top 75,000 a year. The down side is no pension and no medical benefits.

I waited tables for 12 years and just reading about your work and spending brings back all my memories of making tips, having pocket fulls of money and going to the bank to put money in and not to get cash out like everyone else.
