Feeling powerless at times...

DD is trying to decide what to do next year. The biggest decision where to go to school is playing on her mind. If she goes to school on the other coast, she'll need a place to live, which means that her dad will have to help her find a place to live. She's sending her application in tomorrow.

I feel powerless right now, because the final decision will be her's. All I can say is that whatever you do, you need to be happy. Bottom line, if you don't do what you love, you'll grow up and live a life full of what it's. I've been telling her for years, that it'll be important to do what you love, and it will never feel like work.

I know that she'll make the right decision for her, not based on what other people think she should do.

Sometimes I find it's easiest to do the first year close to home, then the rest away... it's not as hard. But then again it often adds an extra year or semester to the length of the degree.......

She'll make the right decision, and she's lucky to have your support!!

Thank you Sam for adding me to your blog! I am sorry I didn't notice it earlier, but if you read my post you will understand.

Good luck with DD, my heart goes out to you. I moved away from my mom to go to school and while it was no big deal to me, I see now how hard it must have been for her. At least now with internet, texting and cheap long distance it won't be hard to stay in touch. I used to write actual letters, with pen and paper. Oh how I miss pretty stationary.

Think of the fun you will have visitng her.

PS. Tylenol extra strength is what has been working the best for me too!

ohhh I am not ready for those kinds of choices. DS1 is only in Grade 9 so I have three years left. You are a very openminded mom and I can't help but think your guidance over the years will help her intuitively make the right choice for her.
