What didn't happen in 2009!

Goals for 2009

Here goes and I'm making a very public commitment so people can hold me accountable for everything that's written here!

Financial:

1.) Pay off student loan -currently stands @ 8, 754.03 ( November 1, 2009) done
2.) pay off debt to mother -1500 ( December 31, 2009) no
3.) open TFSA account -25/biweekly to start (this will be my emergence fund , Jan 5 I'll open it) done
4.) open Christmas account 10/week ( I'll do this today !) done
5.) pay DD's trip off (1350 is the balance I owe, pray her dad pays his share! March 24, 2009) paid for with Visa and DD'd father didn't pay a cent.
6.) not to use my visa until 2010) see above and i made the mistake of getting a new one.
7.) 12 no spend days /month no...

Health:

1.) quit smoking - mid February is my quit date ( if not sooner) no
2.) walk more ( 5/week with puppy in tow) when I'm home he walks
3.) eat more fruits and veggies ( aim for 5 /day to start) no

Household:

1.) do dishes every day ( I hate dishes with a passion, I'd rather clean a million toilets) I'd give this one 5/7 times a week
2.) sweep/vacuum daily every room ( I do this almost daily but...) yes
3.) continue to de-clutter still decluttering
4.) follow my cleaning schedule (I'll tweak it a bit so week-ends are free of cleaning) I don't have to clean very much on week-ends, as my mom does a lot when she's here, i usually do laundry and the regular stuff.

Personal goals:

1.) learn to play crib no
2.) continue to make home cleaning products yes
3.)buy local products when ever possible yes
4.) bake 2/week no, I think I bake like 10 times all year
5.) to purchase myself some new clothing: I don't have a whole lot of options! I had to, new job...

Home ownership:

1.) find the best mortgage rate (its up the end of May, this includes items below (85,000.00) done
2.) have the exterior completed ( windows, siding, eaves, doors 20,000 including taxes and labour) done
3.) have attic insulation removed (7,500 labour, taxes and replacement plus all the tests) done

The year was full of changes for myself and DD. Plus my debt increased to a whopping --- drum roll please...

156,000....

up from 80,000 or so last year. New car financed roughly 34,000, new mortgage 87,500, new CC debt - 9,000.

For 2010: I want to one thing different every month... More on that later as it needs to percolate some more in my brain.
