Mortgage renewal talks begin...

I just got off the phone with a mortgage broker recommended by a good source. I'm very happy with the results... Are you ready?

Borrowing enough to have the exterior renovated, the asbestos removed and a little bit to spare... about 270 biweekly... It's up about 55 more than I pay right now but the long term it rocks... I think I can suck up the extra 55... I may have to go even more bare bones in a couple of areas for a few months but it'd be so worth it...

I've reviewed the paperwork sent about the class action lawsuit regarding the asbestos in my attic. I'll go through everything this week end and file. I'd like to end up with enough that would cover my expenses for its removal.

I have to make the decision on window placements in the next few weeks. One for sure is going to be eliminated and I have to decided what to do in the living room, as I can;t stand the off center fireplace any more, but can't decided if I should eliminate a window all together or put 2 narrow ones flanking the fireplace.

I had a no spend day and plan to have another tomorrow. I also have a major headache right now. The barometric pressure is changing very fast right now ( we're supposed to get a storm) and I have a major headache that has slowed down a bit with 2 gel caps, but its still there...

Before you get the windows replaced, have you checked out the Energy NB plan thingy where you can get a loan (0%) or a grant? Is that program still in effect??

Good luck with everything!

Good morning, I had the assessment done in Oct 2007, I need to call them back and have it extended by 3 months... That's when I found out I could have asbestos in the attic... :( There was a 2% chance that it was and I had it... :( ( I had the official testing done in April 2008) If I can get the 10,000 loan from the province, I'll use it to replaced the heating system, and start the basement walls myself, along with family help of course. The basement could be done in a week-end. That's installing the new insulation, framing and dry walling. I'm to call on my family to help me out...

I'm going window shopping on Saturday... Literally...
