Some times people tell lies...

and I don't like it when the lies are about me. Will I confront the person? No, as it's DD's father, and frankly, if he feels the need to lie to his friends about me, and the info get's back to DD, who then proceeds to set the story straight, who looks like as ASS? Him, and he can be the proud wearer of egg on his face.

Thanks for letting me vent! I've written and deleted this post a few times before I got it "right"...

It's probably the reason he is your "ex". Glad you had your DD to back you up. And you can vent anytime...I'll listen! :)!!!

I guess he has to find some way to build himself up - he wasn't thinking too straight however if he thought your DD wouldn't hear about the lies. Sounds like she really is YOUR DD after all. Too bad it has to be that way as I'm sure your daughter would like to have a great relationship with both parents.

To look on the positive side, your DD set the story straight. I think that when most people hear lies coming out of somebody's mouth, they know that they are a lie and it reflects poorly on the liar.

Vent any time!! That's what your blogger friends are here for, to support one another.
I really think DD has your back, and I'm glad she set the lies straight.
Hey Sam! I've been a "silent" follower for a while, now. You're clearly a great mother, earnest about your blog, your debt, and planning your future. I'm sure your daughter sees this, too. Don't let others get you down, you're such an inspiration, to me, and clearly to others...

Rock on, and as my mother instructed me this evening, when I was complaining about my Sunday Blues, "Grab life by the balls, and let everyone know they need to get out of your way, you're coming through!!"

I know, it sounds extreme, but advice such as this can really get me out of my "Sunday Slump". Hope it helps you too, Sam.
