It's Friday and I'm up early!

I'm up and raring to go at 5:21... I woke up at 5:00 wide awake and knew I couldn't fall back asleep. I feel like a kid at Christmas, knowing that DD will be home tonight. The week-end will go by so fast, as I have to work Sunday night, but I excited to think that next week will be a short one. I'll be out of the office on Tuesday, working in my home town for the day, so I get to sleep in my own bed for 5 nights!

My parents will only have to babysit the dog 2 nights next week, giving them a break too. My mother told me last night, that the house feels empty when the dog is gone, and my father really misses him when he's with me.I was worried that the dog might have been too much for my parents, but he's been good company for them, and he gives an added sense of protection. Plus my dad is as deaf as a doornail and refuses to get a hearing aid, so when the dog wakes up barking in the middle of the night, they know someone or something has been in the yard.

I've got my budget balanced and figured out for the next little while. I've actually managed for the first time in a long time get the numbers right, and it looks like December 2012 will be the month that I'll have my CC's paid off. I'm planning on paying my LOC off after that ( should be gone by October 2013), then all I'll have left is my car and mortgage. The mortgage will be up for renewal in May, 2014 and the car will be paid for in September 2014. I'll be turning 45 shortly after my car is paid off... WOW... 45...

I'll post soon about my budget and expenses... stay tuned...

To my fellow Canadians: enjoy the long week-end and all the turkey too!

You sound so excited - I am so happy for you:) I had some turkey already - I teach kids with intellectual disabilities and autism and we celebrated Thanksgiving today with a huge meal - turkey and all the trimmings. Then I get to do it all over again on the weekend. Diet? What diet?
